An inexhaustible power
“I train every day of my life as they have never trained a day in theirs.”
Al. Karelin
With his performance in Athens in 1905, Coutalianos will seal his glorious career and will permanently retire from sports.

In the municipal garden, next to the summer theater, the beloved Greek athlete and wrestler Coutalianos (2nd ?), who advertised himself as the “iron man of the 20th century,” appeared on an open-air stage yesterday in the municipal garden. This gentleman performed various feats of strength: he broke huge stones on his chest, bent iron bars with his teeth, turned into a “living bridge” on which a weight of several hundred kilograms was placed, and performed many other similar tricks. The audience had gathered around the stage and was watching with great interest..the stone that was on the athlete’s chest broke. However, Coutalianos did not lose his composure and continued the demonstration. The audience watched with interest and at the end burst into applause. The performance was a great success…( ΝΟΤΕ: We do not know why the columnist calls the athlete “Koutalianos 2nd”. This may be a mistake, unless the performance was given by Coutalianos’ son, which we consider unlikely.)
